Week 1 Question

Who are you, why are you running, and name one thing you have worked on in Piedmont that voters can look up?

I am a 20-year Piedmont resident, an active working mom, civil rights attorney, and UC Berkeley lecturer. I know and care about this community because I’ve volunteered in our classrooms, coached youth sports, and raised my family here.

I am running for City Council because public service is important to me. For 27 years at the California Department of Justice, I have worked to protect the rights of Californians and find practical solutions to difficult problems. I want to bring that experience home to Piedmont and put it to work for our community.

My commitment to public service led me to serve as President of the League of Women Voters of Piedmont. I worked to bring our community together around important issues, organizing voter forums and educational programs where residents could hear directly from candidates, community leaders, and experts. I also advocated for community interests before the City Council.

I currently serve on the Recreation Commission and previously served six years on the Civil Service Commission. But effective leadership starts with listening; I look forward to hearing your ideas and shaping our community together.
